Wisdom Teeth Extractions
The ease of the wisdom teeth removal depends on the position of the tooth and root development. A wisdom tooth that has fully cut through the gum can be extracted much like any other tooth. A wisdom tooth that is underneath the gums and pushed into the jawbone will require an incision into the gums and removal of the portion of bone that lies over the tooth.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are precision devices that are used to replace the root of a missing tooth. These titanium screws or cylinders are anchored into the jawbone where it can support a single tooth crown, a multi-tooth bridge, or stabilize a removable partial or full denture.
Anesthesia / Sedation
All types of anesthesia can be administered intravenously. Anesthesia is a drug that helps you undergo a procedure by either numbing the area we will be treating, or putting you to sleep.

Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Akash Villing
DMD, FRCD(C)
Dr. Villing is a Board Certified Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Villing grew up in Delta and then went on to obtain both his BSc. and DMD from the University of British Columbia. Following dental school, he practiced Dentistry in rural BC. He then went on to complete his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Washington.
In addition, he serves as the Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for the Fraser Valley division of the BC Cancer Agency. Dr. Villing is also a clinical instructor in Oral Surgery at the University of British Columbia, the President of the British Columbia Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (BCAOMS), Vice President of the Dental Specialty Society of BC (DSSBC) and the President of the Fraser Valley Dental Society (FVDS). He has served on the Board of Directors for the BCDA and is also a Sedation and Anesthesia facility assessor for the BCCOHP and currently serves on the BCDA Sedation and Anesthesia Task Force.
His practice focuses on the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including guided dental implant surgery, bone grafting, soft tissue grafting, wisdom teeth extractions, outpatient sedation and anesthesia, management of medically complex patients, TMJ, pre-prosthetic surgery, and orthodontic surgical procedures.
